Q. How Much Money Will I Save Refilling My Own Cartridges?
A. The savings range depending on which printer you own and on how much ink you buy. Savings can be much more for certain models. A new cartridge would cost between $25 and $35 depending on where you live, but only costs between $11 and $15 per refill.
Q. Are Your Inks As Good As The Original Inks?
A. We use high performance inks that have the exact same chemical and physical properties as the original inks.
Q. One Of My Colored Inks Runs Out Before The Others, How Can I Stop Wasting The Other Inks?
A. You might notice that one of your color chambers, in a three chamber color cartridge, usually runs out before the others. Bring your cartridge in and we’ll refill the empty chamber and top off the others!
Q. Will Using Refilled Cartridges Void The Manufacturer's Warranty?
A. NO. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act ensures that the warranty will not be voided if you use a cartridge manufactured or refilled by someone other than the printer manufacturer on the printer you are using.
Q. How Many Times Can You Refill A Cartridge?
A. Most cartridges can be refilled many times. To maximize your cartridges life span, remember these simple rules:
- Never let a cartridge run dry. Cartridges with built in print heads will burn out their resistors.
- Get in the habit of topping off your cartridge instead of waiting until it runs out.
- Don't touch the copper plate on print head cartridges.
Q. Should Old Cartridges Be Discarded?
A. No, even old, dried out cartridges can be refurbished. For every ink cartridge recycled at our store, we donate $ to the Salem Humane Society. This is only for those cartridges that have the printhead attached. Help save the environment by minimizing the discarded cartridges going to the landfill.
